Chanel Fall 2011

Oh my gosh! I can only say how much I love Chanel's fall collection. I love the dark shades, the heavy fabrics. I love how it's stuff a grandmother would wear, but just looks so stylish, awesome and dark. I think they avoid the grandma factor by pairing most of the clothes with dark leggings, or jeans, underneath that are not just plain. They have patterns on them or look worn and acid washed. Also the shoes are not something grandmother would wear. They have an edge to them. Plus all the outfits, well some, are paired with leg warmers! And that means extra ankle warmth for those cold winter days.

And the dresses... Those dresses make me feel like every vampire fantasy I've had could come true. All I need to do is wear one of those dresses and my vamp lover will come a knocking at my door. Not that I've ever had a vampire fantasy... Really...

And here are my favourites of the collection. I swear I shan't post more than 5, even though I love everything so so so much.

Honestly, this is so freaking gorgeous. The suit has a simple cut, which means it should be comfy to wear. The fabric is heavy which means warmth for those winter months. Not to mention how rich the fabric looks. I like how it could be something cut up from a tapestry in a castle of my vampire lover.

Love love love the high collar and the detail around the throat. It really has this Edwardian look, though don't count me on that. I have little experience with historical fashion. The loose cut is also appealing. It gives a sense of mystery to the female figure, plus is probably super comfy to wear. I love the cropped pants and how they are lined with a black fabric. The belt is just darling and adds a sense of class. The jacket over top looks great as well, and WARMTH!

Oh gosh! Oh gosh! I love this dress. I love the cap sleeves and the contrast of the black and white. The neckline is interesting and definitely works for the outfit. It leaves the neck free... I love the softness of the tulle for the bottom, but it's cut in such a way that it isn't too girly. I like the pattern of the belt and it makes me think of creeping vines.
SOMEONE PLEASE BUY ME THIS DRESS

I love the dress. It looks like something from the early 1920's, before the flappers showed their knees. I love the drop waist. I think we might be having a 20's revival on our hands. Not that I mind, I love the boyish look this dress provides, but counters it with the ribbon tie and lace overlay.

I love the simplicity of this outfit. It's very simple, and very chic. I adore the cut of the coat and  I like how it looks like it's very warm. I feel I will definitely copy this look, yes.

Second post of my April goal. Going well so far! I won't have many outfit posts as I'll probably just wear wearing study clothes, like sweats and loose dresses. A lot of it will be analysis.
My first exam is tomorrow, wish me luck!
