Christian Dior

Since I want to avoid my statistics assignment at all costs, I decided now would be a good time to look at some clothes. On Style.com I managed to stumble upon the Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture collection. Is it called a collection? I'm not so fashion savvy, yeah?
But, yes, here are my favourites from the collection. So many gorgeous gowns. I want, I truly want.
Since I can't really figure out how to edit pictures and stuff, deal.

I love the jacket, and I love how it looks like it could have been borrowed from Marie Antoinette in the Baroque period. Or perhaps it's Rococo. I love the look of the brocade and all the detail. The gold colouring is ornate and royal looking. I especially like it over top of the skirt. The tight black reminds us that this isn't during the French Renaissance, but rather the present.
The bodice type is nice, and I feel it's especially well fitting for the spring as the overall impression that I get is it's a bumblebee! The back of the skirt seems to reach up to her back, giving the impression of the wings. Since they used tulle, it gives the dress a floaty feeling. The blue design creeps in, much like that of the wings of an insect.
This reminds me of the dress in Sabrina, you know the one she wears to the party when she comes back from Paris. Except, you know, kind of cooler. The blue to yellow reminds of night to day, a beautiful blending of dusk if you will. Except it really should be dawn. The flower detailing reminds of me some flower that only comes out at night. Yes, I am ridiculous.
When I see this dress, I think fifties prom girl crawling up from a grave. The asymmetrical bottom is killer, like someone hasn't bothered to fix their dress in a while. The detailing on one side is like it has fallen off, where only a little remains. Like weeds climbing up on the side of a building. The lighter yellow pokes through, faded.

I think this shall be it for now. In case you can't tell, I'm not very articulate.
